And so it is.

And so it is.

Every stereotype in the book comes forth and attaches itself to the Muslim community of the UK in the aftermath of the July attacks, all the while the alienation and anger of young Muslims grows apace. The confusing mish-mash of prejudices would be amusing where it not so horribly serious.

Apparently, in the light of July’s Underground attacks, the New York Metro system is going to “racially profile” so as to allow them the right to stop and search “Arabs” as opposed to other Ethnic groups seemingly blissfully unaware that none of these bombers were “Arab”. Mr Blair plans to deport foreigners who incite hatred apparently unaware that the bombers were British Born, spoke with British accents, played cricket, football, tennis, etc, and were not members of either of the political groups that Blair wants to eliminate. We are told that they hate us because of what we stand for, completely ignoring that the sole stated reason for the attacks were the occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq.

But, besides that, we (Muslims) are being further and further alienated, whitewashed and stuck into a corner. Our leaders have been pigeon-holed (by those who have never set foot into a Mosque in their lives) into two distinct groups, Moderate (i.e., cause no fuss) or “Islamic Extremist” (i.e., the noisy ones). Groups like HizbutTahrir, a Muslim political group which urges Non-Violent resistance to European wars are labelled “Islamic Extremists” and thus their message is quickly ignored. They are now to be banned, while white hate groups like the BNP are allowed to call my Religion “Evil” and “grotesque”, that it encourages “raping women and children”, the prophet is a “paedophile” and that all Muslims are in fact “Terrorists”, all under the, apparently selective, guise of “Free Speech”.

But this latest double standard is just one point in a list of grievances that young, lets say 25 year old, Muslims have encountered while growing up. Take the following for example;

When one US puppet attacked another (Iraq invading Kuwait), the US’ worlds biggest oil exporter grew nervous. Hey presto, here’s Gulf War 1. For the sake of the hated Salafi regime, thousands of US armed personnel are stationed within eye-shot of the most sacred of all Islamic Sites. Saudi Arabia is a huge country, mostly desert, why on earth did they have to go there.. and then stay there for so long? In, what is supposed to be, the centre of Muslim unity Muslims were forced to observe an army which has killed thousands upon thousands of their fellow Muslims, their brothers and sisters. An army with no respect for the land they were occupying, protecting one of the most hated regimes right at the heart of the Islamic
world, without the slightest care for the thoughts of the worlds billion Muslims residents.

But, that’s minor, and really just reinforces a view already established.

Take, for example, the Dutch.

In 1995 in Srebrenica, thousands of Bosniak Muslims made their way to a safe haven which was under Dutch control. it was the job of the Dutch to protect these vulnerable refugees. They did not, and 8,000 Muslims died as the Dutch stood by and watched.

Now, fast forward to November 2, 2004. A lone Muslim kills a lone bigot, Theo Van Gogh, and suddenly Holland erupts.

A man who referred to Muslims as “goatf***ers” had died and Holland reacts. Yet their role in the slaughter of 8,000 Muslims warrants barely a mention. When, in May 2002, an environmentalist killed Pim Fortuyn did the community of Holland round of the environmentalists the same way they did on the Muslims ? In short, no! The only apparent reason for this is that the murderer of Theo Van Gogh was not done by a White home-grown verifiably Dutch young man, but by a dark foreigner with a beard and a different religion.

In the USA a group of Muslims are arrested, permanently described as terrorists, because they played Paint ball shooting, meanwhile a Christian Right wing Militia group, armed to the teeth, are patrolling the US border with Mexico to ensure no brown guys get in.

In the UK Hizb Ut Tahrir, a Muslim political group which encourages Non-Violence are to be banned while a party led by a Reverend who stood up in the European Parliament described the pope as the “antichrist” and who set up a militia which became a terrorist organisation are now the largest political party in Northern Ireland. And do i need to contrast the differences of approach regarding Sinn Fein and the lunatic fringe in Al Mujaharoon?

Aside from this, where Muslims are need of Help, like they were in Srebrenica before they were killed by European Christians, in Palestine and Chechnya, in Kashmir and Thailand, all around the world were Muslims are in need of help none is given, and the western World watches as they are slaughtered.

Meanwhile, those doing the slaughtering are actually aided by Western Nations. Compare the billions given to Israel with the nothing given to Cechnyans?

Further, while Muslims are busy getting slaughtered around the world, the Western World decides to join in. First it invades Afghanistan to get Usamah Bin Laden (despite the Taliban offering him to the US in return for a shred of evidence), and fails, but manages to kill more civilians than died on September 11th. Then, for absolutely no reason at all, it invades Iraq. Iraq, with the historical Islamic Caliphate capital of Baghdad in it’s middle, having been starved and raped and made defenceless was invaded, occupied and looted by an Army which doesn’t have clue to it’s importance. They laid siege to Najaf, and annihilated Fallujah, the city of Mosques. In the process they left up to one hundred thousand Muslims dead, but didn’t bother to count.

And this is just in the lifetime of one 25 year old Muslim. In short, folks, do not be surprised about the anger of young Muslim men, you bear a significant responsibility for this with every vote you cast for the War-Makers, and every time you further alienate them.
